Meteorologist John Marshall at Madison Junior School
Meteorologist John Marshall presented an overview on "how weather works" to 6th graders at MJS.
Meteorologist John Marshall shared a dynamic presentation on the weather to tie-in with the 6th grade science curriculum at MJS. The presentation included a video of extreme weather captured by storm chasers that had students mesmerized by hurricanes, tornadoes and floods. An accomplished broadcast meteorologist, Marshall brought his mobile weather studio to the stage of MJS. Complete with a "green screen", several students had the opportunity to take their turn reporting the weather. Marshall's presentation included an explanation of the seasons, types of clouds, types of storms, the water cycle, weather instruments and how to predict the weather.
