Chromebooks for 6th Graders
Madison Junior School (MJS) students will soon be enjoying a cart of 25 new Chromebooks thanks to an MEF grants.
MJS teacher Richard Bradshaw applied for a grant to pilot two Chromebooks in his 6th grade Social Studies class. Impressed with the results and the curriculum enriching experience they provided, he submitted a grant for another 25 Chromebooks which the MEF was delighted to approve. The quantity and quality of tailored information that is accessible to students with Chromebooks combined with unprecedented speed and immediacy offers innumerable advantages. "One of the benefits of MEF's pilot programs is the ability to fine-tune the usefulness of curriculum enhancing resources. Through small-scale trials, the Foundation works with teachers and school District personnel to select the most effective tools for our students," states MEF President Mary Schaenen.
